Care
Wooden wall panels stay beautiful with minimal maintenance. Wipe the panels with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth, in the direction of the wood grain. Do not use harsh cleaning or abrasive products and avoid lots of water to protect the veneer and the acoustic felt.

MEASURE & PLAN
Measure the width of your wall and divide it by the width of one panel: 22.6" for 94.5" panels, 23.6" for 118.1" XL panels. That tells you right away how many panels you need.
Pro tip. Center your layout so the cut-to-size panels end up on both sides.
Very easy to install. I got the natural oak and stained the slats my desired color. Staining 26’ of slats took a couple days, but I’m very happy with the results.

The panels are very easy to work with. I was concerned that cutting the actual boards was going to be a challenge. I used a finer tooth blade and it cut. It cut like butter.

The walls are great. Delivery showed up slightly damaged on one end but we needed to cut a few inches so it wasn’t a problem. Slight measurement issues with the felt lining between pieces that aren’t as uniform as the built in spaces but you’d have to stair at it to really notice it.
I purchased these panels because they came in 9' lengths which is what I needed for my 9' ceilings. Finished product looked great. Only wish they had twist in knobs so I could hang pictures or shelves.
Love the product! Install was fairly simple, despite not ending on even slats. I chose to use drywall anchors and screw mine in. Color is exactly what I was after, and service and follow up from this company is spot one. I failed to order an end peice and this was quickly resolved. Will likely find another application!
They had great reviews with the best pricing online so we ordered some for my husband’s office. Ordering was easy and the panels arrived about a week later. Our contractor cut and installed them easily and they looked great so we ordered more for our bedroom. Not sure if they made much of a difference with the acoustics but they do look really nice.

This is a bedroom wall where the bed will be. I also have half moon wall mounted night stands for lamps.
This is a DYI project and wish I had more time to do some custom things like sconces instead of plug-in lamps. But I can figure out something nice.
Unbelievably gorgeous material. I tried a different company (WVH) - they were almost double the cost and a fraction of the beauty of these panels. My first order from AKU came and it was the wrong color - once I notified them, they said “just keep them and we will refund”. That’s when I tried WVH and was shocked at the poor quality so back to AKU. These are brilliant. I wouldn’t bother trying any other company!
We looked at other brands of similar panels, but found the samples we ordered from AKU to best fit our needs and the light oak to best blend in with our existing decor. Rather than using sheetrock anchors, which leave 1/2" diameter or larger holes in the sheetrock, we elected to use 5-6" long double-sided sticky-back tape strips along with 1-1/4" long sheetrock screws, which are nearly invisible in the acoustic felt and with only about six used per panel, add adequate rigidity. The 94.5" panel length is perfect for standard 8' ceilings and no length trimming is necessary. The width of 11-1/4" may seem like a strange dimension, but it actually works out quite well. In fact we removed the baseboard and spaced each panel up from the carpet about 3/8", leaving about 1/16" space at the ceiling. To test our skills, we did the periphery wall around a sliding glass door first and then moved to the stereo room. Rather than remove the cabinets in this room, which are mounted against the sheetrock and full of audio components (and very heavy!), we fitted the panels around the cabinets. We think it came out very well indeed and we're very pleased with the result. In fact, we've just ordered some additional AKU panels to install around the entry door and fireplace insert.
