Limited Product Warranty

Akustiq USA LLC ("we," "us") provides this Limited Warranty for wood wall panels purchased on akuwoodpanel.com. This warranty is the only express warranty applicable to your purchase. Please read carefully.

1. What is covered

We warrant that our wood wall panels will be free from defects in materials and manufacturing workmanship for one (1) year from the date of delivery, when used under normal indoor conditions and installed in accordance with general industry practices.

"Defects in materials and manufacturing workmanship" means manufacturing flaws that materially affect the function or appearance of the panel as it leaves our facility, such as:

  • Veneer delamination not caused by environmental factors
  • Structural defects in the panel backing
  • Manufacturing flaws in the slat assembly

2. What is NOT covered

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • Installation: We supply panels only. We do not install panels and are not responsible for any aspect of installation, including but not limited to labor costs, installer fees, materials used in installation (adhesives, fasteners, framing), removal of existing materials, or consequential damage to walls, ceilings, floors, or surrounding structures.
  • Labor and removal costs: Costs to remove, re-install, or replace defective panels, including labor, are the customer's sole responsibility.
  • Moisture damage: Wood is a natural material and is sensitive to humidity. Damage caused by exposure to moisture, water, condensation, steam, humidity above 65%, or installation in unsuitable environments (such as bathrooms, saunas, exterior walls without proper sealing, basements with humidity issues, or kitchens directly above cooking surfaces) is not covered. Outdoor panels are covered only against manufacturing defects, not against weathering, UV fading, or environmental wear.
  • Natural wood characteristics: Variations in wood grain, color, knots, mineral streaks, and natural aging are inherent to the material and are not considered defects.
  • Color changes over time: Wood naturally darkens, lightens, or shifts in color due to UV exposure, oxidation, and aging. This is not a defect.
  • Damage caused by: improper installation, improper handling, accidents, abuse, neglect, modification (cutting, painting, staining, sealing), use of incompatible cleaners or chemicals, impact damage, scratches, dents, pets, fire, smoke, or acts of nature.
  • Normal wear and tear from regular use over time.
  • Custom-cut, made-to-order, or modified panels are sold as final sale and are not covered under this warranty except for verified manufacturing defects.
  • Samples, end pieces, and items marked "Final Sale" are not covered.
  • Panels purchased from unauthorized resellers or any party other than akuwoodpanel.com.
  • Shipping damage: Damage in transit is governed by our Return Policy, Section 7, and must be reported within 7 days of delivery.

3. Who is covered

This Limited Warranty extends only to the original purchaser who bought the panels directly from akuwoodpanel.com. It is non-transferable. Proof of purchase (order confirmation or invoice) is required for any warranty claim.

4. How to make a warranty claim

To file a warranty claim, email info@akuwoodpanel.com within the warranty period and include:

  • Your order number and date of purchase
  • A description of the alleged defect
  • Clear photographs showing the defect, including close-ups and a wider shot showing the panel in context
  • Photographs of the original packaging if still available
  • Information about installation date, location, and environmental conditions (indoor temperature, humidity if known)

We will respond within five (5) business days. We may request additional photographs, samples, or information needed to evaluate the claim. We may also request that you ship the panel back to us at your expense for inspection; if the claim is approved, we will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.

5. Our remedy

If we determine, in our sole and reasonable discretion, that a panel is covered by this Limited Warranty, we will, at our option, either:

  • Provide a replacement panel of the same product and color (subject to availability), or
  • Refund the original purchase price of the affected panel.

Replacement panels are warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period. Replacement or refund is the customer's sole and exclusive remedy under this Limited Warranty.

If the original product or color is no longer available, we may offer a comparable substitute or a refund at our discretion.

6. Limitations and exclusions

NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES BEYOND ONE YEAR. To the maximum extent permitted by law, any implied warranties (including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) are limited in duration to the one (1) year period of this Limited Warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you.

NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Akustiq USA LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the purchase, installation, use, or inability to use our panels — including but not limited to: installation labor costs, removal costs, costs to repair walls or surrounding structures, lost profits, loss of use, damage to other property, or costs of substitute products. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.

MAXIMUM LIABILITY. Our total liability under this Limited Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the affected panels.

STATE RIGHTS. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

7. Governing law

This Limited Warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, and is subject to the dispute resolution provisions in our Terms of Service, including mandatory binding arbitration and class action waiver.

8. Changes to this warranty

We reserve the right to modify this Limited Warranty for future purchases. The version in effect on the date of your order governs your purchase.
